Table for Two


San Diego has literally hundreds if not thousands of fine eating establishements dedicated to every palate and culinary desire. Many are four star. Here is a table setting at La Valencia Hotel in downtown La Jolla, which once was a favorite of Hollywood celebrities, often when visiting the Del Mar track during racing season.

Coastal Sunsets



Coastal areas are prime locations for photographing sunsets. In addition, late Winter, early Spring and the Fall offer the best times for taking sunset photographs in San Diego. These images were taken from the cliffs near La Jolla, Solana Beach and Leucadia, respectively, in the Spring. Notice that during composition the horizon is placed either above or below the midline of the image, depending upon whether it is the sky or the water that is emphasized.
