Fort Rosecrans National Cemetary

Fort Rosecrans National Cemetary is located on Point Loma, 10 miles from San Diego. It offers stunning views of the Bay, the City and Coronado Bridge. Although Fort Rosecrans became a National Cemetery on October 5, 1934, it has prominent military interned dating to the local Battle of San Pasquel in 1874. Military funerals are traditionally formal and sober affairs, indicated here by the Naval Honor Guard. The grounds are kept meticulously beautiful, suggested by the pink rose in image three.
