Red Desert Flower
Although San Diego now has much greenery due to massive irrigation projects bringing water from the Colorado River and Northern California, its natural climate is Mediteranean and the flora is mostly desert-like. Here is one example of a small shrub tree with its exquisite red blooms, often seen as decorative plants in public places.
